Second-time Burner from Orange County

I've been stalking this forum long enough I figured it was time to actually make an account...

anyway, hello err'body, looks like I'm returning to the playa this year. I'm extremely excited, I am planning on staying most of the week this time as opposed to the three days I was there last year. I'm also going to be exercising radical self-reliance properly this year, in 2009 I traveled to BRC with my friend and his dad, who basically planned the whole trip and provided shade, shelter, transportation, and most of the food for us.
it's all on me this time 8) I'm bringing at least one, possibly three total, Birgins with me as well.

Hi Kubi,

I went for two years as a long weekend before I took the week long plunge. I didn't think I could handle all the extremeties for a week. Turns out I handle them just fine. I love the early part of the week - its a completely different flavor.

The best time I ever had though, was getting in early. There is something truly amazing about watching and participating in building a city.

That's good to hear, last year we got in late afternoon on Wednesday and left Sunday morning. I'm planning on getting there Monday this year, I'm looking forwards to the early week festivities
