Free Burning Man for Dummies workshop = 10% discount on gear

Camp Stella is a clean and sober theme camp that has been offering daily 12 Step meetings on the Playa since 2003. For the last several years we have hosted a free workshop at San Francisco's Sports Basement sporting goods store entitled Burning Man for Dummies.

It is a seminar to provide all the basic knowledge, tips and advice essential for those who have never been to Burning Man but are considering going. There are select essential topics provided in a speaker and question/answer format. The topics include hydration, gear & equipment, test kitchen & meal philosophies, leave-no-trace and renewable energy use.


Simply attend one of our 2 one hour workshops on 8/7/10 and you'll receive 10% off any purchase you make in the store that day. Some items the Sports Basement sells and which you may want to use at Burning Man are: a good wind-strong tent, fat wheel bikes and bike accessories, propane grill, l.e.d. lights, light weight but warm sleeping bag, sleeping pad or blow up mattress, camelbak, solar shower bag, solar lights, dehydrated food packs, bungee cords, tent stakes and the like.

Thanks for this tip, I had no idea. We'll try to make it. Sports Basement is a really cool company. They've hosted ArtCar Fest artists for lunch three years running and we're EXTREMELY grateful! They have great stuff and generally under-price REI and other companies on most everything!
