So, what were your favorite Theme Camps (not your own!)

Post by Dr. Pyro » Mon Sep 06, 2010 9:04 pm

There are a bunch of cool theme camps of course, and I am partial towards Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro. But since we cannot include our own camp in this rather informal discussion, my favorites were:

1) The Bus Stop. Excellent chili though their beer could have been colder.

2) That Irish Bar with the red door at about 4:00 and D.

3) Camp Apokolipitica. Thanks BBS for the Russian vodka.

My faves ended up being Zanzibar at 7:15 & B for the chill afternoon lounge drink, and the Irish pub at 3 & Es. for the late night wanderings..

I liked Dance, Dance Defibrillator.

It was awesome - especially when that drunk Irish guy was half way into Round 1 and he spilled his drink on the plate metal dance floor.

Poor bastard never had a chance at making Round 2.

They got 500 plastic fetusis from a cristian right to life group and injected a jello shot into each one.

If you wanted an abortion, they hacked a fetus in half with a cleever, then you had your choice of coat hanger, knitting needle, or straw to get the shot out.

I told the head Dr. that he ought to be in charge of health care as he had found a way to do 500 abortions for the price of one.

Wait until you see what I have planned for next year...

Thank you, darling, it was a pleasure! Only wish I could have been to Barbidor this year... ;)

I really can't comment, as I didn't get a chance to do the city (had a bar to run, and it sucks being wounded with no art car anymore!) but I saw a couple in my own village... and on the rare ice run I could make between 2:30 & A and the 3:00 plaza)...

The good were... excellent!

Oh god, there were so many virgins this year... prolly 80+ %!!

I must have named about 3 dozen or so. I know A-Bear did as well. One of the best gigs I have EVER done. It was a pleasure and an honor to celebrate their now-non-virginity!!! (heh heh heh...)

The most exciting discovery for me was probably the daily farmer's market at More Carrot - delish! Other favorites are The Hangout (spent many lazy naps in their hammocks), the entire general Martini Village (best afternoon parties!) and Tangoed up in Blues (tango lessons? blues music? YES please!)

Pee Funnel Camp! They were just so kind and fun and they made it possible so i didn't have to get up and run to the port-a-potties at night. I am so happy I got to meet JuJu, Tito, Antonio, Rmax, Zoey, etc. etc. etc.

though it is hard picking a favorite because each had something amazing to offer.

Cats. Cats. Cats.

Saw the camp Tuesday afternoon and then forgot where they were for a later visit.

Yeah! I got all excited when I rode by them on a car, and then never made it back. Hrmph.

They're still just one of my faves, even if I never get there.

Burn Out Bar at 2:00 and Trash Fence was the best bar I've seen at BRC in my 6 years! Granite counter tops, glass stem ware, full bar, cafe chairs and tables out back. And, get this, attentive service!

Once again, the tip of my hat goes to Booby Bar, as well as Dr. Pyro and his Barbies. Spin Art was also a great bunch of people.
