Hi all!
This is my first post on e-playa (although I can admit to a couple hours of reading what's already up here...) but missing out on the burn this year has heightened my burning man obsession to new levels. I've gone to the burn both 2008 and 2009, but missed this year because I've been living in Sweden for the past few months (Sweden is awesome, but of course my heart was aching as I watched the bman webstream as a member of Camp Envy! - I compensated by browsing some cool sites with sweet lights, some assless leather chaps, etc. and daydreaming about next year)
Well, anyways, I'm kind of rambling but I wanted to introduce myself and see if there are some others who have missed this year and are experiencing the same overwhelming sense of over-obsession with practically anything playa related. I can't wait to do next year bigger and better than ever before! And I'm stoked on exchanging ideas about bman next year with some people on e-playa! Ok, I'm done. Looking forward to hopefully hanging with some of you on the e-playa until next year! :)

I missed this year, too.
I do a damn bit to try and keep bm from taking over my life. (Unwittingly, my husband was a negative example.) I'm still kinda pissed off about how things went in 2010, but I can look back at my crucial decisions and see why I made them.
I don't know if you care, but we have some Norwegians in our village. Only one will be out next year, and I don't really know how much cultural animosity there is between the two groups, but maybe that brings a new twist to your appreciation of what the event offers.

It sucks to miss a year, but the payoff is amazing. After missing 2009, the second time I missed a burn since 96, going back last year was like going for the first time again.
It's awesome to have a triumphant return.

I don't care what the borg says: feather-wearers will NOT be served in Rosie's Bar.
When I ask how many burns, I mean at BRC.
