People are gonna think what people are gonna think.

Someone, somewhere is going to be offended at something someone does at Burningman.

So to answer your question: who cares?

I don't know.

Does this give bm a bad name? http://www.jesus-is-savior.com/False%20 ... tivals.htm

People will believe what they want to believe about the event filtered through their preconceived notion of what they already think the event is to begin with.

It already has a bad name in a lot of circles. Like Iso says, who cares?

sweet -

Now I am lumped into the other 50,000 people that go to BMAN for the psychedelics.

cheap reporting, poor article. Shit like this, and "Burner Dans" comments would only reinforce my non burner friends beliefs that this BMAN is a big drug fest.

how about NatGeo does a show on all of the machinery out there, or the hope made electronic lighting effects...

out.

Actually, I was surprised at the number of people who didn't even drink alcohol when I went... I must have been doing something wrong! :?

I swear Teafaerie stopped by our camp one night. We thoroughly enjoyed a disjointed conversation with her about some kind of paranormal space/time vortex event taking place all around us.

IIRC,,,, well shit,,,,, I don't really recall anything after that,,,, hmmmmm.

Does something like this bode badly for BM? Well obviously the law enforcement community takes this kind of unilateral example seriously. I honestly don't care what anybody thinks goes on at BM. Unless they actually experience a week there, the complete package cannot be appreciated.

They certainly had a photo.

There was a time when people once made the Geographic covers themselves. Then National Geographic threatened to sue BM but was told that it wasn't BM who was doing it but an attendee.

This elderly woman did in fact make it to the cover of the National Geographic

Well, apparently Burner Dan OD'ed, so I guess there's one less person giving Burning Man a "bad name".
