I saw a small one on the 2:00 side this year. Maybe 3-4 feet tall. Looked like a pretty normal ramp made out of 2x4's and plywood.

Yeah I saw one near 2:00. Looked pretty fun but I had no skates : (
I'd be down if someone need some rails made. I have an arc welder and I could make some nice freestanding rails.

there is a camp over on 10:00 sound wall that always has a good one built.
We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

tunnel,a rainbow rail connectiong 2 runways of plywood would be amazing!my friend's uncle recently acquired storage unit full of plywood from a skatepark that was recently closed so i was thinking about pre-constructing 2 quarters and patching them together upon arrival.this way i wouldn't have to spend half the week in bob the builder mode. i am definately planning on taking matters into my own hands this year... my friends who ride/skate generally think we're out of our minds for driving 3 days to live in the desert for a week, but on the other end we think they're out of theirs for not coming:)

Maybe the BRC Roller Disco can be talked into having a half pipe next
to their awesome skating rink with great music.

(or they could let us set up the skate park)
FWIW

I've seen pics of a miniramp on the playa. Not sure I'd want to try hitting a vert ramp at BM. I am 37 these days and haven't put a board under my feet in over a year though. LOL.

It's kind of surprising, now that I think of it, that there is no Sk8park Camp. I can imagine linking a bunch of plywood together for flat land and putting jump ramps, rails and other obstacles on it. Could be a ton of fun.

I've been wondering if a mountain board would work well on the playa.

I will have my BMX bike out there this year. And would be happy to lend a hand constructing a ramp.
It's pointless to walk when it's past time to run.

my boyfriend dragged me off the art car so he can skate the ramp. they had a DJ spinning and were going to have a live punk show later in the evening. it was close to 2:00 and maybe F or G last year. That's him on the ramp = )

wow looks like those guys know what's up..looks like we might have to take over one of the outer k streets to build up to our full potential which is fine considering we were at 9 and k in 09.seems like the only way to have extra space, seeing as people who filled in around there would see our setup and understand there will be loud shit going down 24/7
