Post by mentaldk » Wed Dec 29, 2010 2:48 pm

This will be my first chance to join in the ultimate fire fest.
I am interested in joining any fire performing groups out there

You might want to mention what fire skills you have.

Most of the performance groups practice together for months before the event. Adding a new member on playa for the formal performances rarely happens. You'll need to find out if there are any local conclaves near you, and if not, perhaps you can get in touch with a group who'd be willing to take in an orphan.

Thanks for all the additional information.

13 years and I still can't figure this place out.

Then at least get it better next time.
Since this is the noob section

Is there any forum for individual burners to light up fireswords?
Or are all pyro things done as some group project?

You can perform anywhere you like, although I suggest avoiding crowds and tents.

You might wanna have someone as a safety also.

Open playa and open spaces are cool. Have a damp towel to hand to someone to be your safety. Makes your performance interactive, yes?
