At least with my job.
Your net pay will be increasing as a result of the recently passed Tax Relief, Unemployment Insurance Reauthorization, and Job Creation Act of 2010. The Social Security tax rate will be reduced from 6.2% to 4.2% effective January 1, 2011. That means more money in your pocket each pay period.
It's a paltry amount in my paycheck, so I'm not even sure I'll remember to put it aside each pay period, but still. A few bucks every two weeks is still more than I had, without costing me extra.
Well, that's one way to save up money

Not to throw a wet rag on your enthusiasm, but this is actually will be less money than you were getting. Without looking up the details, you were receiving I believe a $500 tax relief (don't remember the name of the program), but it was due to expire this year. Obama wasn't able to negotiate a renewal of the program but was able to the the social security amount reduced, as you stated. However, EVERYBODY got the $500.00 amount. With the SS reduction, if you made less than $20,000.00 you will only save $200 or so. The more you make up to the $100,000 or so cap, will be when you actually match the original credit that the ss credit replaced. Thank the Republicans for cutting your refund.
(sorry for not having the time to look up exact names of programs and amounts, my honey is anxious to get going on our walk.)

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

It's more like cheap booze and woman, at my house...
But if you make 12 million this year, the republicans just gave you $450,000 as part of their wealth re-distribution plan.
And you're not rich.
In their best chicom maoist revisionist speech, they are required to re-couch english words in jingoistic buzzwords, so you're now only referred to as a "Job Creator".
No more rich people!
I wonder if they use re-education camps to learn that?
As for everyone else, if you wanted health care, or wanted your children to go to college, well then, you'd be rich too, wouldn't you?
