Hello from D.C.!

Hi everyone. This will be my first time going to Burning Man and I'm really looking forward to it. I've been combing the board for a few months now trying to learn as much as I can and although I will only be able to spend a snippet of the week there, I'm hoping to be able to volunteer in a couple of areas.

Can't wait!

Don't volunteer! Very few people honestly expect first timers to volenteer, and you don't know how the heat and altitude are going to hit you, and taht's before the overwhelm that hits many first timers. Experience this year, volunteer next.

Thanks JS!

theCryptofishist, that's interesting advice. I may be coming out alone or with a tiny group so I figured volunteering would give me something constructive to do and be part of the experience more fully (rather than just observing) for a few hours a day. All options still open though. Thanks!

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me
