Need ride from playa to Reno airport 9/4 3:30am
Howdy folks -- my nephew has gone ahead and done the unthinkable by arranging to get married on Saturday, the day of the burn, at 3:00pm. In order for me to experience BM2004 *and* attend the wedding (and thus avoid violent death at the hands of my sister), I need to catch a 6:40am flight out of Reno on Saturday. This means leaving the playa around 3:30am. Is anyone by chance making a trip to Reno around the same time, who could cart my sorry ass to the airport? I would be eternally greatful.

And a place to take a shower, too.
I have offered to drive people to and from the playa for a couple of years now.
I may have to go into Reno to pick some people up that morning, so an early start won't hurt (much).
Help with gas is appreciated but not necessary.
It may even be possible to get a shower on the way so you can travel in comfort.

I try but I can't be everywhere!
Aloha Merman:
I do offer rides to people as a service to the community, but just one person can get overwhelmed with the numbers of people arriving.
You can check with Fred ([email protected]) at the BRC Burner Hostel in Sparks (http://www.blackrockburnerhostel.com.) He arranges rides and has a place that people can crash at for a night or two on their way to the playa. He's a great guy and can no doubt help you if you drop him a line and let him know when you are arrving.
Depending on when you are getting in and ride availability you might spend a night at his place.on the way. I stay there when I get to Sparks/Reno just because it is one of the finest places on earth to be - nothing but Burners having fun on their way to the playa.
I will be in touch with him once my schedule is more set so I may indeed be the one you get, but you can be sure that there will be a ride for you. We haven't turned down anyone yet!
