It's time to return am I ready?

Post by tcmarin » Wed Feb 09, 2011 8:16 pm

2008 was the first. I arrived on the Playa a day early with experienced burners and I was overwhelmed. How best to be initiated then an intense dust storm  I still laugh at myself for the utter dread I felt on the inside while putting a brave face. Who knew the dread would wend its way through the steps to acceptance and I quickly realized "This Is Happening!", "Go With It". So I did..... wasn't sure I'd come back..

Here I am. Let's do it again ! See you there 2011
Don't get too caught up in the details; I'm still writing the fine print.

I remember that one--if you mean Monday around noon of '08. It went seven hours and taxed the good humor of even one or two veterans. However, it made the storm on Saturday feel perfectly normal by the time it arrived.

There wont be any dust storms this time. I've been . . . working on it.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Welcome!

Good weather often follows me, I too am working on it!

I heard about 2008, glad to hear you'll be returning, it's the season to get ready...see you in the dust. :)
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!

Monday, '08...11 hours if I recollect...9th hour I was about ready to kill! (Not really, but pretty crabby!)
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.
