We have been playing out locally as Blunt.Trauma for about two years now, but we have both been in and around the EDM and DJ scene since before it was We have always dreamed of going to burning man and even though it almost didn't work out, were going to make it to they playa! If we had the opportunity to play in any camp or on any stage, or Mutant car ect. basically anywhere where someone would care to listen, that would just put this dream over the top! While we have been trying to make a name for ourselves in the local Bass Music scene we have the ability and song selection to play just about any genre of electronic music you can think of, from minimal or chill acid jazz and lounge, to chugging house and deep trance, or Hard drum and Bass /breaks and jungle, or our current flavor of choice Dubstep and Glitch hop, no matter wat you are looking for or the time of day we are ready to bring it! This is Headmaster Janice from Play)A(Skool calling out to Perfomers --- One and All. I am looking for interesting performances --- drumming groups, fire artists, Cirque de Soleil types --- some fantastic performances that can incorporate technology, entertainment and design in a way that encompasses the 10 Principles of Burning Man --- We have some AMAZING things coming to Play)A(Skool, which we will be announcing shortly.

Play)A(Skool is a large theme camp, located at 8:00 and Esplanade this year. A group of international friends and family, our Mission is to bridge the gap between the "default" world and the collective talent of each and every one of us that call Burning Man, "Home." We plan on doing this through a series of poignant discussions, illuminating topics, and one-of-a-kind performances.

If you are interested or want to know more . . . please email me asap at [email protected] --- if you want to submit information regarding your performance, it would be super helpful if you could do it in the following format:

Performance Area - (Music, Dance, Visual):
Potential Performace Title:
25-50 word description:
Bio or link to biography:
URLs associated with your work:
Links to videos of your Performances:
Where you are camping at BM?:

I know this all sounds a little vague, but I'm responsible for curating a show and would like to see if there are performers and performances that are outside what I've seen in 11 years of Burning Man.

Drum'n'Bass Producer/DJ from Melbourne, Australia.

It's my virgin burn and I'll be bringing my whole collection with me on a USB stick just in case the opportunity to play comes up. I prefer Traktor but will play on anything that will take the USB.

Shoot an email to malphemist (at) gmail (dot) com if you appreciate my style of melodic neurofunk and have a spot for me! Otherwise I can be found camping with Ashram Galactica on the Playa (8:30 E).

Mini Bio:

When Malphemist (Brendan Armstrong) decided to bring the sounds of Drum'n'Bass to the Australian doofing scene, he knew it was never going to be easy. Two years later and he can regularly be found playing his preferred blend of melodic, atmospheric, grimy and energetic neurofunk at doofs and clubs (and even a boat) around Australia and overseas. When he's not busy doofing, he can be found running parties and producing his own tracks.

As a DJ, he was a Top 20 finalist out of over a thousand entries in the international, open genre, Mixed in Key DJ Contest. As a producer he received a runners up prize for his entry to the Ammunition Recordings "Diode - Binary" Remix Contest.

It's early days yet but Malphemist's mission is already showing strong results. if you give it a chance, you might just fall in love with the underground sounds of neurofunk.

(can also play filthy electro if that's more your thing: )

Techno and Breaks producer, John Tennant from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I'm bringing a tight little Live PA setup and would be happy to play at your stage. Here's a recording of my last set for your review and enjoyment. It's a free download if you're interested. :)

Here's a pic of the footprint of my setup so you have an idea if I'll fit into your stage. It's takes me about 20min to setup. I don't really need a soundcheck.

Hope to see you on the playa!

My name is Mike and I Dj under the name Ol' Skinny. I'm just a guy whose been providing dance beats to willing participants for the past 13 years. I love to entertain and provide a release through dancing. I'm a big believer that dancing, no matter the style of music, can be a soul healer. This will be my fourth burn. My first two were in 1998 and 1999. I came back last year and don't think I'll ever miss it again. I spin tech-funk, a combination of Electro, House, and Techno. I use Serato and can perform on CDJs but always prefer turntables. You can check out and it will redirect you to my soundcloud page with my most recent mix.

I do have a ticket as I felt that was the most important thing to buy this year :)

If anyone's interested you can email me at [email protected]

Looking forward to an amazing week on the playa whether I spin or not.

Hey you fellow Burners,

this is Markus from Germany. I am a part time visual artist - mainly VJ'ing in house and techno clubs.
As I am joining the Rites of the Passage this year, I like to contribute by offering my VJ skills to whoever still has an open slot to fill. :D

Please have a look at the VJ reels on my Vimeo page to get know to my style.

As I am travelling from Europe, I can only bring my Laptop with me, so you need to care for projectors/screens.
Normally I put out PAL on FBAS or BNC but I can also switch to NTSC or give you an analog VGA signal. :(

Have fun - Cheers, Markus

Hello Burning man crew!

This year will be my very first burn and i am determined to make every moment count!

I am based in Dublin, Ireland and I front the electro rock group Skuzzi port, ,

I also perform as a solo electronic act under the banner Skuzzi Electronics Division,

This solo show i am bringing to burning man this year and i would love to have the chance to play for you if these sounds are something that please your ear sensors?

For my electro show i use a laptop, soundcard, korg kaoss pad3 and midi controller which i use to mash up and mangle all my own productions while singing and sampling my own voice over the top.

I make mostly electro house heavy bass kind of stuff but it does vary into breaks and grime too.

It is a very live oriented performance and i really like to take things apart and mess around so its a bit mental and more of a show.

I have done this show with other players involved such as rappers and drummers and i am really open to jamming with other people if there is heads willing to get involved.

So if you have a stage or a rig you might like me to play for you please let me know, i would absolutely love it! (im bringing everything just need stereo mixer input or 2 d.i's)

I cant wait for the burn and i really hope to hear from ya!

Hey Everybody! My psychedelic omni-rock band, Wubakia, is hauling all our gear (including a hammond organ and leslie!) out to the Playa this year from Santa Cruz, and we are still looking for a couple more performance opportunities. We are currently scheduled for 2 short sets at our camp, Mountain Mayhem, and one at the Transmorphogon, but we really want to land 2 more good ones, preferably after dark, and/or over an hour long. We need a space that is somewhat shielded from dustclouds (nighttime seems to be calmer in general), and ideally a generator that puts out a steady 60 hertz (for the organ) and 2 monitors (we will have 2 as well). If you're interested, let us know so we can start to work out details. We're a really solid band with great musicianship and a great sound. We will definitely not disappoint! Hope to hear from you soon!

I'm Dr. Dreidel. I don't really have an accent, but my pelvic thrusts are very very real indeed.
I am a character-driven hip hop act with chocolaty beats , delusions of grandeur, a drum machine and a korg triton keyboard.
I've got a few shows at the moment (one at center camp on tuesday and also a pickle joint show on friday night) but being as black rock city is the greatest city in the galaxy, i'm thinking of triple booking.. shoot me a note if interested in learning more.

also, i have a FREE Black Rock City EP for the ride out and back, go here to download. it's a 9 track sampler of tasty grooves and weirdness pulled off an upcoming full length called Give It To Me Girl:
also, here's a recent music video for vibe reference:

Hi Timmy,

I'm Nadia from Edmonton! I'm looking for a collaborative pianist, someone to jam with, but also to do a couple of arias and art songs with. I noticed that you've already teamed up with an opera singer - do you want a second? I'm a mezzo...maybe we could even do duets with you?

Thanks for considering!

Nadia :)

Hello... I play in a one man act called Tainted By Trolls. It is electronic loops played and arranged in real time with live electric guitar combined with it. I just played at the Department of Tethered Aviation last night and it was a great time! Looking to play some more here on the playa. I am self contained, have my own equipment including speakers, or I could plug into your super badass mega sound system, which would be dope.
