Vote for Frog!

Post by lonestoner916 » Sun Apr 17, 2011 5:30 pm

A Burner friend has entered a contest to win a part in an upcoming audiobook and needs YOUR votes!! There's a short registration thingy and then you can vote once a day. Please take the time to help out!! Her username on the site is RubyG.

Are you suggesting that we just vote because this burny person is a friend of yours?

I mean, soliciting anyone to vote for something that they have no mind of (or familiarity with) is pretty much the very reason we're in the fucking democratic electoral shit hole we're in.

Don't vote.

Don't vote for shit you don't know about.

That link didn't work for me, but this one did.

Thanks Risky. That one worked fine.

So I got in there and typed in Ruby and then sat and wondered What We Were Voting For Anyway.

The audio thing didn't work at first (probably because I wasn't clicking on it). So I sat and just looked at the page.

Then I saw Neil Gaiman. "What a Coincidence", I thought. I'd been looking up Neil Gaiman all day yesterday looking for books for my kid.

Then I saw it.

She looks just like him.

Really.

Take a look at that jawline. It's phenomenal!!!!

So that sparked me to sign up and learn how to click the audio ON properly and listen.

She has a lovely reading voice. I quite enjoyed it. Clear and friendly with good meter. (It's actually sparked me to look up audio books, which I've never looked into)

So she got my vote, which I'll try to remember to do daily. (I really think she's got to be related to Gaiman somehow. I mean really. Look at that jawline again!!!)

Best of luck to her. Tell her for me she really needs to look into her mother's ex boyfriends a little deeper.

Thanks Risky and Delle! Yes, her voice really is great, she does a lot of radio...

*runs off to google pics of Gaiman*

Never mind googling pics. There's one just to the right of her picture on the voting page.
