Hearing Aids
Hearing Aids
Hi everyone.... I wear hearing aids. I'm wondering if anyone out there has info on this topic. It's tough one for me because without the hearing aids I have to keep asking folks to repeat themselves... and miss much of the conversations. So wondering what other hearing impaired folks have done?

Grand farthe (my vamp mate) leaves his in camp. I can't afford them so I ask for repeats anf say hh a lot. Don'tlet the sand screw them up. People on the playa will understand. One trick I use is to carry a "personal amp" It's a little bulky but works in some places. Then again if the dust is not blowing this year you may were then all week. I would not depend on that to happen. Good luck
I'm the contraptioneer your mother warned you about.

Whoops, I already answered this in the "Feedback" section (this is where is actually belongs).
THis is one of those places where some creative thinking comes in handy for your research. I mean there are all those older guys (and gals) who retire and take trips across the Sahara or the Australian outback or join the Peace Corps or somehow do "Adventure Travel"--where would you find their experiences recorded? Have you talked to your ear doctor--maybe other of his patients have had similer problems. There are almost certainly on-line support groups for the hearing impaired, maybe they have some imput.
Sorry I have nothing but brain storming.
