Camp Nomadia - A Camp For Nomads

Is travel in your spirit? Is wanderlust your calling? Have you dared to give up a conventional home and make home wherever you happen to be? Is life too short and the world too large to be stationary?

Then we welcome you to join us at Camp Nomadia this year. This camp is open to current nomads, future nomads, past nomads, wannabe nomads, part time nomads, domestic nomads, international nomads, technomads, lowtechnomads, land nomads, backpackers, RVers, water nomads, flying nomads or folks who just want to be around nomads (yes, your non-nomadic friends can join too!). Burning Man veterans and virgins alike!

Because our goal is to create an on-playa gathering where nomads from all walks of life bring their default world homes with them, our infrastructure is minimal. At this stage we've already completed most of our pre-playa planning and have several volunteers providing shade and basic communal gear but we need to be clear up front that this is not a camp for folks looking to come ill-prepared and utilize a camp's communal gear. If you want to shower you bring a shower. If you want to sit you bring a chair, etc. Last year we had a great communal space and bar thanks to everyone's participation but there were no official meals or utilities provided so keep that in mind. There are no dues or fees because there is no overall need for them.

There's a survey/questionnaire to help us make sure you understand what we're looking to achieve and as long as your application isn't "I couldn't find a camp and saw yours and it looks cool" then you'll likely get approved and welcomed into our community!

Shooting for 6 & G and will put up signs at that intersection if we don't wind up there.
