Harry Larvey's rite of passage?
I've heard from an inside source that Harvey wants to step down from his responsibilities in the organization of the BM festival. Apparently he would like to concentrate more on his new baby, the non-profit, as well as developing the regional network. It seems that he is waiting until BM2012 is on track (i.e. BLM negociations are done, theme is out, and ticket system is setup) before announcing it.
Not sure that it would change much for all of us, but I thought it was interesting...

To whom are you referring? I'm unfamiliar with that name.

Do you have any other unsupported rumors we could discuss?

Larry Harvey wants to step down from running the event so he can spend more time on the non-profit that's going to be running the event?

Thereby adding another layer to his involvement, so he's the middle man twice, and gets more fees that way.Eric wrote:Larry Harvey wants to step down from running the event so he can spend more time on the non-profit that's going to be running the event?
He better be careful, though. This is the first step on the path to having Larry Harvey sue himself, just like Stig did.

That could be really fun to watch!theCryptofishist wrote: He better be careful, though. This is the first step on the path to having Larry Harvey sue himself, just like Stig did.
Sort of a "one man show"
While in court they ask him "please point to the guilty man" and he gives the real cheesy "what has two thumbs and ____" sort of smile and thumbs up while pointing to him self.
His testemoni is something along the lines of "I am sueing Larry Harvey because he has run this company into the ground"
"No I haven't, You sir, ran this company into the ground!!!"
Why don't ya stick your head in that hole and find out? ~piehole
