Hello all my peeps!!
First time on Eplaya after 3 years attending the burn. I am a local reno-ite and because it is so close to me want to and can easily be a part of the months of production for our very special week. Helping with the little things that make a BIG difference for my burners would be a great gift. Ive deeply connected with the Temple over the last few years, so if i could volunteer with that it would not only be a dream come true but also a great honor to be a part of it. When we get more info on the divvying up of who what when where why Im sure there will be more info but I want to put it out there now so I can continue to put it out the intention!!

You might want to browse around in there, and email volunteers(at)burningman(dot)com to see if there's a chance of working on the Temple. As with building the Man itself, get the impression that it's pretty specialized work and might be an elusive gig. The one person I know who got to work on the Temple did so this year because she happened to have Early Entry for another volunteer job, and walked up to the Temple (in her off hours) in the last few days before the Gates of the event opened, and they put her to work.

I also think it's going to depend on who builds the temple. I think it wouldn't have been a problem for her to show up before the 2011 event on one of the build days in Reno. If the temple this year is from Connecticut, it's going to be harder, although they may need a couple of people on the ground in Reno. I dunno.
