Alien Processionals

Last year, SCARAB Camp's art theme was Ragnarok, and we staged processionals around the playa with our two 13 ft. gjallerhorns, inviting burners to blow in the end of the world.....after first doing a medicinal shot of Metaxa or mescal, of course. Many great bleating sounds were heard.

For '04 our art theme is "Alien Menagerie," and you will find us this year out on the playa taking our various aliens out for processionals. Pulled on a cart behind the SnipeTrike, the aliens will call out for supplicants amidst strange off-world music. Oddly festooned attendants will bellow and/or cavort (as applicable).

Upon approaching the alien, kneel and give full obeisance, after which the alien will bestow its bounty upon you (ie. a shot of either Ouzo, Metaxa, or mescal). We'll be out around our camp area (6:30/Earth) often, and at times out in the deep playa (and even at night, with our new battery-operated blacklights).

We look forward to your supplication and subsequent inebriation.
