miniature LED lights

Post by AntiM » Wed Aug 18, 2004 2:33 pm

I was going through my craft stuff and found some miniature christmas LED lights which run on 2 AA batteries. I guess I bought them on clearance and forgot about them. They are made for those incredibly detailed tacky holiday villages, I've seen Halloween ones too. One even twinkles. They're small strands, about twelve inches long. I'm thinking they would make good embellishments for a hat or costume. Anyone have any experience with these? Will they break easily? Suck up batteries?

If the lights are what I think they should work fine, use few batteries and not become disfucntional unless you fatigue the wires by bending them repeatedly, or loose the battery cover. ( tape it on )
and if a wire does break somewhere, besides where it enters the plastic, you can re-solder it. and if you didn't bring a soldering iron , we'll probably have one at Contrapionists camp.
