Re: Does the Dust Ruin Clothes?
The only problem I usually encounter is some metals tarnish or rust pretty fast after you get back. You should probably avoid as much metal touching you skin as possible anyway because of heat transference.

Cotton, cotton, cotton. I'll say it again, wear cotton.
It recovers magnificently.

Does playa dust permanently alter the most intimate of body parts? I plan on being at least partially naked at times (sarong or tutu with nothing underneath). I'd just hate to ruin my testicles or foreskin on this trip. Would be a real bummer.

Oh, n/m, I forgot they removed my foreskin without asking. I guess I'll be ok.

Re: Does the Dust Ruin Clothes?
I made a new apron this year with lace on the pocket. I was so pleased with it.
Then a few days later, I spilled coffee on it. BLAST AND DAMN IT!
I had to give it to the flames along with my pink playa pants that never recovered from wasp nest stains from storage.
I'll just HAVE to build another one with MORE lace next year. Darn <smirk>
I strongly recommend wearing 100% cotton out there, very wearable and it burns nice and clean.

Ha, I would have simply "dyed" the entire apron with coffee....
