FOUND share large truck from SF Bay Area

Hi all,

We are looking to share a truck or container space for the 2013 Burn. Open on the dates but must be early arrival

Must arrive by August 22nd and leave no earlier than Tuesday morning after the burn.

I want to go to Burning Man for the first time this year. I may have an interest in sharing a truck because I'm thinking of a way to get to Black Rock City carrying supplies for the week and tent and sleeping bag etc. I don't drive. How many people would share it? Also, don't I need some special pass to arrive before the 26th?

I'm planning a large-scale art project (and I'd guess you are too) that will very likely out-grow the capacity of my camp-mate's pickup truck even with a trailer, so I'm looking for pretty much this exact scenario and exact dates.

BAU ... You can't ride in a container. Think about the things that ppl ship cargo in on trains. A truck would likely only hold a couple driver in the front (two). You might want to look for a rideshare or get in touch with local, regional groups a bit later.

Yes 9ah, should have mentioned that to BAU. The rideshare section is a great place to look for a ride, last year there was even a ride into BRC by private plane posted! I almost took it, but had too much stuff...

Yes. And you're not likely to get one your first year. The llc limits the number of people on the playa, in part to keep the landlords (BLM and through them the american people) happy. You're only going to get a pass if someone who has some to give knows you and trusts that you'll work like a dog to get the event ready.
