Birthday on the Playa?

So this year my birthday falls during the week of BM (The 27th) which I'm pretty stoked about. Obviously just being on the playa will make it an amazing birthday but I'm trying to think if there's anything extra special/interesting/different/cool that I should do for my bday. Any ideas?

My birthday falls on BM week every year and I completely forget about it because of the massive party going on around me ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Honestly, if you have time to think about inane things like your own birthday you need to go seek out some adventure somewhere else on the playa.

My birthday is on the playa and that's the only thing I plan on doing and make sure I do it. After that back to doing stuff.

Mine's on the 30th and it always falls during Burning Man (except when Labor Day is on the 7th and Burning Man starts on the 31st.)

I like to savor the disappointment of hoping that someone will remember and having the day come and go like any other. It's a great moment when I realize the place is not nearly as magical as it seems. It's really the only way to feel special at all out there.

One year I found "It's My Birthday" camp and stopped in, but they sent me away because they weren't set up yet ... and it was for everyone to have jeir birthday on every day.

One year I experimented with drugs and that was fun. A few years ago I met my birth-twin — Troy at Hair of the Dog — same year, month, and day. We only chat for a few minutes and I feel like he's astonishingly different from me; a true testament to astrology.

My wedding anniversary is Thursday. Even the one year we went after the wedding, we didn't do anything special.

Anyway, you want a July birthday--that way you can ask for burningman gear from family and friends.

Someone told me their camp is doing a burn week birthday thing for peeps with bdays on playa, I think Wednesday..... When I remember I can post.

Mine is the Saturday before Gate opens, but since I'll have an EAP, it'll be on playa. Last year it was the Friday before, but I was so exhausted from building camp all day, I didn't even want to ask for spanks. And at Retrofrolic passing up an opportunity for spanks is pretty unusual.

Wearing a shirt (or facepaint, or short-shorts) that say BIRTHDAY BOY or BIRTHDAY GIRL might kick off some shenanigans. Especially if you use the more inaccurate gender.

Every August 30th, I get up at sunrise and take a quiet bike ride out to the man and beyond, shared only with my camera and whoever I meet on the way. I keep my birthday a secret and enjoy it more that way.

Though there was that one year my friends found me a Hostess cupcake complete with a little tiny candle and later that night they lit a big wooden figure on fire. Can't remember what I wished for but I'm sure it came true...

it was moonrises birthday on the wednesday last year, I am told he remembers it as the best birthday has ever had. I have to say i enjoyed it tremendously too. So for those with birthdays on the playa this year i will raise a glass and toast you (i will do it everyday as well to be sure i dont forget)

My birthday tends to fall while I'm on the Playa. Last trip home, an announcement was made at a neighboring camp of Aussies that it was my birthday. I was promptly bent over an art car, and received the appropriate number of spanks from all the members of said camp. So there's that, if it's your thing It's definitely my thing...

They "soothed" the pain with a cute Kangaroo key chain, Aussie shot glass and the accompanying shot.
