Gallon Jug Water Delivery

Does anyone know of a company that will deliver cases of 1-2 gallon jugs of water that got their outside service permit? In the past, we've used Alahambra/Sparklette, which worked out to about $1.25/gallon, but we just found out that they didn't get their OSS permit. We'd prefer not to deal with convincing a driver to do the $800 refundable ticket or meeting them at the gate. We looked into the meco tank but it's more like $2/gallon and we're ok hauling out the recycling.

My understanding is that a commercial operator would have some trouble doing the one-time delivery thing if they do not already have a BLM permit (separate from the OSS thing). The Bureau Of Land Management not only requires payment of fees, but beginning this year also requires each company doing business on federal land get their own BLM permit. I also understand that the process takes forever, if they haven't already gotten that sorted out they probably won't be able to get one for this year's event.

I've got a message into some folks to get that clarified, and will also see about getting the list updated. Meanwhile, you may want to going through the list to see reach out to others on it to see who's able to provide what you need.

Wow, I didn't know that each company needed to work directly with the BLM this year.

Our camp needs 450 gallons. We'll be coming from Seattle so it's a pretty big impact in terms of truck space and gas money (8 x 55g barrels, weighing ~2 tons), which is why historically we've gotten it delivered. We usually have more room in the truck on the return after burning things so recycling isn't an issue.

If we had early arrival this year, popping out to Gerlach would be an option, but we'll be arriving with the masses when the gate opens so we either need to carry it in or have it delivered.

Actually, they should have been doing that before (responsibility for fees started a year or two ago), and permit requirements went into place this year. That's all above/beyond any sort of OSS stuff.

im a virgin burner this year so I feel the need to ask this... I have a water trailer (3x325g), I wanted to fill one or two of the tanks to give away and use the third to help transport water off the playa. Is this ok? Ill drive most of the way with tanks empty and fill them at one of the places from the link above... they don't leak. Any possible problems that im overlooking? thanks-

hmmm im glad I asked! I figured it'd be easy... now as far as ruining my tanks or the water sloshing around, these aren't of much concern. I transport water as part of my business, I have potable and not potable tanks and my truck is big enough that the "sloshing" isn't noticeable. I do thank you guys for the replies...
