Burner Bus: Taxi share to the Airport

Good morning folks.

Wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing a taxi with us from the Sands Hotel to the Airport.

We are booked on the express noon:30 bus on Sunday the 25th, and will be pretty much baggage-free, everything having been transported by car the day before so lotsa room for your luggage.

doesn't the sands do a free shuttle to the airport?

and when are you hoping for the taxi ride?

I'd be surprised if the hotel/casino didn't have some kind of free or ridiculously cheap shuttle to the airport.

The Sands does have a free shuttle that runs 24 hours a day, once an hour. And they'll even let you drink beer on it. Well, at least I drank a beer on it.

I called the sands and got transferred to the person working the shuttle service.

The shuttle runs every hour, on the hour, from 6am to 11pm (both ways).

There are 13 spaces on any given shuttle.

You cannot book your space ahead of time.

HOWEVER....

He suggested that if a large number of burners were going to be on any given bus, if we knew this ahead of time he could schedule a larger bus for that run, doubling the number of seats, so.....

do, please, mention at the front desk which shuttle you're planning on taking -- if indeed you are taking one.

Thanks for the help, and for the heads up. Having worked at a hotel that offered NOTHING for so many years may well have wrecked my expectation level. This was a lovely surprise.

So I guess my question now is how many of you intend on taking the 11 or noon shuttle for the noon:30 bus at the airport?

(they say it's "15 minutes away" but I don't believe in being Flush-On-Time for stuff that's important, so I'm going to say we'll be taking the 11:am)
