DJ Yossi on the playa

Post by DJ Yossi » Sat Sep 11, 2004 6:19 pm

A thousand apologies to everyone who searched the perimeter looking for me on Thursday (9/2). I was scheduled to spin a 15hr set at the Beat Farm (to be created "somewhere on the perimter"). Alas, it did not happen. Mother Nature beat the snot out of our shade structure on Tuesday and Wednesday and I just didn't feel we could safely pull it off. So instead, I spun a 12hr set at 7:30 and Mars next to the Deep End. 10am to 10pm. Thanks to everyone who danced and a special thank you to all the dancers who held up the structure during that 4hr dust storm. I'm still cleaning playa out of my turntables!

This, my fourth year to the desert, was a total fantasy. The Beat Farmers remained thirsty, hungry, and over tired, nevertheless maintaining a steady diet of dehydrating alchohol, appetite suppressing psychedelics, and sleep depriving hallucinogens. Burn on.
I met some really beautiful people and I want to thank the Deep End for their hospitality and generosity. I can't wait to play at the SF Decompression. Thanks to the Space Cowboys, Sol System, and Lush for pulling of some really ambitions creations.

I also want to thank an Austrian girl named Joanna who shared a romantic playa experience with me. Every time I play "Finally" by Kings of Tomorrow feat Julie Mcknight, I will think of you and dedicate a moment to your sweet smile and tender kisses.

So, tell me, how do you do?/
Finally I meet you/
You don't know what I've been through,/
waiting and wondering about you./
I had a dream my trip would end up at you, /
and now I know paradise.

I probably could've fallen in love with you if we had a couple more days together. :)

Burn Baby Burn.
All that matters to me is peace, love, and (house) music.
