I hope you all say no, that it sucked and was boring!
We were planning on going this year but cancelled right before tickets went on sale due to an illness in the family, she is doing great now and we could have gone after all but it was too late to prepare. I am totally jealous I watched all week on the live cam with "camp envy"

I've only gone five times but this was definitely my best Burn. I went solo this year and it was fantastic. I pushed my preconceived boundaries and was able to break out of my self imposed shell.

Conditions were unbelievable. I found the ratio of good to turd music was better than last year (my first burn), and in general as I was more prepared, I had a better time. I can't say w/ authority that it was better though. It took me at least twice as long to enter as last year (total of 3 hours from a bit before empire to in the gates, where as this year was 6), and exodus last year at under 2 to this year at 4+. I might have just gotten lucky last year though? Seems there was an increase of burners, but the assets to handle them stayed the same. I had a blast once I got in though.

My first burn, so, I don't have anything to compare it to - however, I know each year will be better than the past. This journey has brought me new friendships, love, creativity, courage and a renewed sense of self. A connection to a part of me deeply buried over time, an awakening of who I truly am. I can not wait to see you all again!

The burn sucked, don't go. Hawaii totally blows, don't go. Sex is completely over-rated, don't come.

Though according to the law enforcement thread, the only thing that could make this year's burn better is for some more cool cops there....
