Is There A Lost and Found Headquarters?
Is There A Lost and Found Headquarters?
I lost my phone and was contacted by the guy that turned it in to the lost and found at Burning Man. Does anyone know how to find out where it is?

If only that info was published in the Jack Rabbit Speaks or on the main site somewhere. Oh yeah, it is. Clicking the link on the Burning Man home page takes you here. Good luck!

Email them!
[email protected]
It could take a while for them to get back to you.. But if your phone is there.. They can get it back to you. Make sure to say in your email that the guy has already contacted you, so they know for sure that they have it.
Good luck!

Thank you both for your help. I have been to the lost and found page and I have emailed but no response. Now I will email again and include that I am sure my phone is there and was turned in by someone. Thanks again....the hunt continues!!!

This time when I emailed i got a response:
Thank you for writing [email protected]. This is an auto-reply message.
Lost bike inquiries should be sent to [email protected]
Please be patient as we prepare to investigate your inquiry, as the return of found items is largely a volunteer effort. Our first priority is passports and IDs, to support visitors who may be stranded, and need these documents to travel.
This email address is only concerned with items turned in to Playa Info. Many items lost are never turned in. To post your lost item to the community at large, try the ePlaya at http://tinyurl.com/om5pmvn.
So now I hurry and wait!!!
