Got the carpet up. Hardwood beneath. A horrible plywood scar where the original heat register was. Odd discolorations elsewhere.
There will be random staples for a while, and that damn undercarpet foam will creep everywhere. Plus, there's a dump run in my future.
But, I got the carpet up, and I will be able to move in my living room in my manual chair.

It should be pretty easy to patch the floor. Most oak flooding is #2 common.
