Quixote's Cabaret Club seeks performers

Post by Momma Quixote » Mon Jul 28, 2014 2:17 pm

Hey all,

It's the ninth year on the playa for Quixote's Cabaret Club and Bar, and alongside our roster of lovely regulars this year we're looking to offer slots to new performers.

If you can do something fun with magic/juggling/dance/puppetry/comedy/storytelling/poetry/a folding chair and a bottle of balsamic dressing, then we're the camp for you - we can't accommodate DJs and we're coming all the way from Europe so we don't have the kit to put on full bands. And we don't have a piano. Or a pole. Every year someone asks, and every year we disappoint.

What we do have is a covered venue built to look like the Tardis, a stage, a brilliant audience, a basic lighting and sound system (a mic or two, the ability to play your electronic sound-making-mp3-device), several lovely comperes, a decent bar and the desire to provide a home for all those talented individuals who don't quite fit anywhere else on the playa.

We don't audition - if you're brave enough to stand on our stage, then we're brave enough to put you on. We have shows Tues, Thurs and Fri evenings, from 9pm-12midnight - and beyond if we have the acts.

PM me for more details.

Dusty hugs,
Momma Quixote/Emma.

How are you with a sofa and chipotle? We can be flexible...
