Hi everyone,
Sorry, I know it's late to be looking for a camp, but we've been having trouble finding one with space.
Three of my friends and I are looking for a camp. We're 4 guys around 30 years old who've been camping many times before, and will have tickets, tents and other necessities. Two of us are driving from Vancouver, and me and the other are flying to SF from NYC.
We're looking for a fun group of people to hang out with, a shade structure and the other benefits that come from group organization, and of course we're looking forward to helping out and doing our part for the camp.
If you know of a camp that has room for 2 or 4 of us (we can split up), you can reply to this message or email me at [email protected].
Thanks,
- Neil
2 or 4 birgins from NYC and Vancouver looking for a camp
Re: 2 or 4 birgins from NYC and Vancouver looking for a camp
Welcome to the eplaya Neil!
As you guys are birgins - have you considered camping withOUT camp? From afar it always seems like being part of a camp is the way to do things, right? But its totally possible to have an awesome experience just simply by camping. Get to know your neighbors and make friends in the immediate area (this is a very easy task!) and you'll likely have a pseudo-camp for the week.
Now if you guys are specifically looking for theme camp amenities (camp kitchen, shower, etc) then trying to find a camp isn't a terrible idea. There is a forum on this site specifically for theme camps, checking in there should be your first step, there's lots of camps looking for members but I highly recommend going it on your own, it'll make for a way less structured, but equally as fun experience!

Thanks for the advice, Fidget.
We're definitely looking to make the experience easier, especially since some us are flying in from New York. Having showers and cooking tools taken care of would really help. It's our first time so although we can be mostly self-sufficient, having experienced burners in our camp should help us figure out what we're doing.
I'll check out the theme camps, thanks for that.
