And now I need to make sure it stays maintained.

Let's re-hash all those tips and tricks we have for making sure our cars don't suffer from that corrosive dust.

Do you use a leaf blower to swab the paint job? Do you use an air compressor to blow thru the engine? Do you have those special baby wipes that save your steering wheel?

The PoopMobile has been to 7 Burns. She works all day every day of the Event. She's utterly jacked inside. But that's ok, source of pride ha might say.. She di however need $6k worth of repairs/maintenance etc. the mechanic said in an embarrassed tone that all...of the hoses and gaskets in the engine...were...brittle.
She's ok now.

Armor All BEFORE the burn is the trick. Get a thick coat into all the crevices BEFORE you go to the burn. Do all the plastic parts on the vehicle. A few layers of heavy wax on the paint job would help a great deal. Wash it on the way back (great self/coin/car/RV wash in Dixon on Main Street on 80 West heading back to SF). And Armor All everything again before storing it.

You really can't put on a few layers of wax. Repeated application doesn't build up layers.

Ha, ha. My entire toyota van is plastic. Including most of the body. There is exactly ONE place on the car to put a hide-a-key. Only the thieves know where it is. I don't put much time into getting the playa out the interior. What's the point?
