STEP - How fast I have to be?

Helle everybody!!

in few hours STEP opens. There will be a link in our burner profile, OK. But is it like the Invidual Sales? We have to click within 2 seconds?

The link will not disappear until the program closes. But the program is first come-first served, and depends largely on how many tickets get contributed (as well as how many people sign up). Signing up is no guarantee that you'll be able to get tickets.

My educated guess is that you will need to click on that link within the first couple seconds to have a good chance at getting a ticket. My campmate last year clicked on it as soon as it appeared, and he was awarded a ticket at the beginning of June. Obviously things change, but I'm going to assume the demand for tickets this year is quite high, based on the numbers that entered the main sale.

Another question, do I have to refresh the burner profile page at 12:00 to see the link? Or it will appear automatically?

I believe it'll just pop up (that's what happened for the main sale,) but if you notice it doesn't pop up and your clocks turned, it wouldn't hurt to hit the refresh.

yeah I refreshed and it gave me the register button, I pushed it and it told me I'm in the STEP queue.

dragon pilot don't kick yourself. Every time I refreshed it booted me off with an error. (10 times) Then I got through.

Bah! Got locked out of the burner profiles then the system went down so didn't manage to register for 20 minutes! Pretty much nada chance of getting a ticket now.

D: i thought that STEP was you sign up on the day and if you get through then you just expect an email in the future some time?? but do you buy the tickets on ticketfly today??? absolutely lost it !!!!!!! have a feeling i'm not getting tickets this year ---- devastated (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

is there a notification for when you get through the queue? what does it say??

It's like you said. You register and as they become available through sellers you get notified. But it's on a first come first served basis depending on when you registered. Due to the high demand of tickets this year I'm expecting the worst.

If you don't get through refresh your browser. I waited far too long before trying that so even people who came on afterwards would've gotten through ahead of me I reckon.

I was booted twice when the server went down. I did finally get in the line about five minutes later. Just like the individual sale if you aren't a hacker or a super computer wiz who can click in a millisecond you don't get a ticket. Not fair.

No email confirmation yet. My guess is they wanted to keep the servers as low-volume as possible. Seriously looking forward to time stamp comparisons!

Did anyone expect anything different on STEP. The general sale was compromised with hackers. You saw the counter move up after every refresh as the hacker pushed by you. Today you again saw the same thing one more time.
