Florida Burners

Post by Warbaby Fox » Mon Apr 13, 2015 12:19 pm

Just wanted to see if there were any people coming from Florida to Nevada and if so, what's the best way of getting there?

Embrace the snark!
Florida to BRC should be one hell of a road trip, if you can afford it.
I'm flying out to Sacramento from Tampa for this years burn (my first) and will be renting a van there. Will be shipping my bike and some of my gear ahead to pick up in Sac.
The deeper I go the happier I get

It's an interesting road trip going as the excitement is building, but I find the last thing I want to do after the burn is sit in a car for days getting back to the East Coast. I find it hard enough to sit on planes / in airports for 10 hours.

Drove it once, now I fly. Depending on your circumstances, you might even find that flying is cheaper than taking all those extra driving days off from work.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

I'd highly recommend that you look up the regional group, join their list and see if they have a website or Facebook page that they use to stay in touch. Get to a regional event (whether it's a campout, fundraiser party, or backyard barbecue) and meet some people. They can not only hopefully help you with figuring out your route (though you can also use any number of mapping apps/sites to get you there, too), but also provide a lot of other helpful information for planning your adventure.
