Chaffee Shuttle Art car looking for a starbase

Hi,
Over the years I have seen several Star Trek shuttles and art cars on the Playa. This year I’m bringing my remake of my Type 10 shuttle “Chaffee” back to the playa and am looking for a friendly starbase to camp with. I’d also be grateful for any information on how to contact any of the other spacecraft themes art car makers so that perhaps we can have a little Starfleet gathering on the playa. My husband and fellow camp lead for The Flamingo Trap is a bit of a space nerd, so you would maybe fit in well in our camp. We're not a starbase but we do have a star dome.

What a cool vehicle, great work! If you want to organize a starship vehicle event... then go ahead and do that. Once you've found your own personal starbase you can either pick a day and approximate time to invite drivers to come meet you, or you can pick a day/time (or at least an approximate time) and big art installation to meet at. Thinking about this year's honorarium installations, I'd say you should set course for the Black Rock Observatory. It will likely be out in deep playa, but you'll be traveling in an MV. You might even want to reach out to the folks behind the Black Rock Observatory (I know they've got a rover, and may have other space themed vehicles), and coordinate to see if they're already thinking about some kind of similar event.
