Hi all--
Last year was my 4th burn and I've participated in different ways each year from panel discussions, ESD volunteering, and candidly underparticipating my first couple years while I figured this out. I'm still trying to nail down tickets for my wife and I this year but am cautiously optimistic. But...we won't be able to do the full burn this year and are looking at 4 days probably so our own camp is probably not in the cards this year.
But, assuming we do manage the ticket issue, I was hoping to share my love of cigars with the community this year by hosting a cigar bar night or two. We'd bring the cigars, supplies, etc. and maybe give a couple intro to cigar tutorials if there was interest. Before committing financially to this, though, I wanted to reach out to see if an existing bar/camp might be interested in hosting this for a couple nights. We would, of course, handle all trash and ash removal, as said handle all the supplies and cigars, and generally do the organizing that was involved. I envision something pretty laid back and low key--just an event or two for people to relax, enjoy a cigar, good conversation, that sort of thing.
I know cigars aren't everyone's thing, but hey, it's the burn...something for everyone. If there's no camp willing to partner with us on this we'll probably just plan a dedicated camp next year and contribute in another way. But on the off chance--is there any camp out there with any interest?
Any bar/lounge interested in hosting a cigar bar night(s)?

You can just do this at your camp. Best part is, you can just set out signs==one at each corner and one just outside the camp, perhaps--when you're ready.

Unfortunately where I'll be camping it's not do-able. That's why I was asking.theCryptofishist wrote:You can just do this at your camp. Best part is, you can just set out signs==one at each corner and one just outside the camp, perhaps--when you're ready.

In years past, the Orphan/Endorphin camp has had a Daddy Warbucks cigar lounge. Pretty much my go to spot for an afternoon smoke. Maybe coordinate a time that doesn't conflict or just do it.
The next morning you will wake up pretty much your old self except that a very unusual 16 hours will have been added to your store of life experience.

ONiON started out as a cigar bar and lounge, but we don't bring as many cigars as years past do to a lack of interest. We still are very cigar friendly though and are now apart of Titicaca at 4:15 and C. Feel free to stop by.
