24 ft truck rental needed! Help! (Bay Area)

Our camp totally dropped the ball on a truck rental this year... thought I had someone on it but they didn't realize they were actually supposed to RESERVE the truck vs just tell me how much it cost.. regardless, our camp is now in need of a 20-24 foot truck rental, or a combination of two smaller sized trucks. None of the major truck rental companies have been helpful (Budget, Uhaul, Penske). Does anyone have any suggestions for truck rentals in the bay area??

I already realize how late we are on this so maybe keep the snark to a minimum

Your fairly screwed. Call around and hope someone canceled their reservation or start looking for one you can purchase for a reasonable price.

Short of that you might be able to rent a trailer and borrow a truck.

Yeah shit if I were me, I'd BUY a van or pickup or two, and maybe a flatbed trailer.
Sell them afterwards because you're crazy enough to live anywhere near SF and I doubt you have anywhere to put anything.

Doherty's Trucks in El Cerrito is a Budget outpost - but they also have their own trucks, which you have to call them directly to reserve. They rent 15-foot and 24-trucks.

The Doherty's rate will cost you (lower per-day cost and higher per-mile than Budget) but you may be willing to take that.

So those might not be all gone due to difficulty of reservation & higher cost.

Last I used them they were Burner-don't-ask-don't-tell. Wash the truck well and they'll ask you how the burn went after you return it.

We rented a Doherty's truck about this late last year when we realized our car wasn't going to cut it. They were excellent. Give 'em a call!
