Knots Questions

Post by captmikey » Tue Aug 18, 2015 1:34 pm

Hey! Just purchased rebars and I was wondering what kind of knot should we use to tie down the camp.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

... and for those times when the direction of force must be along the length of the rebar (such as when you're trying to pull it out):

I'm a big fan of the Blake's hitch. It's a locking slip knot, easy to tie and doesn't use a large amount of rope like the truckers hitch. Check it out!

Actually, there are better knots that are easy to pull snug without untying. I would check out a top 5 knots channel.

I learned this knot by tying it over and over, it's easy to remember, and is perfect for being able to easily adjust tension. Probably the single most useful knot for guy lines and other adjustable tensioned rope applications. Add a bight at the last half hitch for quick release.
