Typically when does the main Burning Man web page get updated? I know pics are up and all that, but the front page still list last years date. It makes me a little nervous that some type of place holder isn’t up until the next theme is announced?

Does it usually take this long?

(and yes, if I knew enough about it web development I’d offer to help. But I don’t so I’ll ask)

I was wondering the same thing. Last year we had links to post event media coverage. Not this year. Bu this time we also had info on the town hall meeting. Again not this year. And they can't blame the "I have a dream petition" because that tactical nuclear shell impacted this week. So what's going on up there? The ORG got the coveted multi-year permit so there should be a BM for 2005...meaning hey it's time to shift gears and get the dates up for 05 so people can start locking in next year's vacation days. So what is up with the unexplained lack of updates? Did the ORG go on retreat and not return? Did Larry finally take the money and run? These questions and more remain to be answered.

Well they just got the servers back up. (even though that does seem rather strange. I still haven’t seen a realistic reason for the servers to be down if hooked up to a ups or as I've heard have blown up.) they just got new volunteers for the web team and was about to train them when all this happened.

So me.....I'll give the benefit of the doubt. For right now anyway.

I love technology...It's people's incompetence I have a problem with.

How about moving on to more important things like petitions, and asking for stable eplaya servers?
