Was SO happy to wake up...

Post by Kelsier » Thu Apr 28, 2016 9:31 am

I had just arrived at the gates and was looking forward to my first roll in the playa when asked a question that froze my body with terror.

"Do you have your ticket?"

HOLY CRAP I LEFT IT AT HOME!!

Such a sigh of relief when I woke up. Anyone else already having Burning Man dreams? Or have they just never stopped for you?
It seems that this is my circus, and apparently those are my monkeys.

Ha! Yeah, I have those too. Usually, I've left some critical part of my camp at home like the rebar or the PVC poles for my monkey hut.

I did have a short one last week.... was very similar to the Zion Party in Matrix Reloaded. I think they filmed that scene with their ideas of burning man in mind.

I have a recurring dream where I go to sleep on day one and wake up after the man burn and I've missed the whole thing. Terrifying!

I keep dreaming I get in through the gate then spend the next few days driving around looking for a place to camp. Every time I find one, I'm told by the neighbors that space is taken and "they" will be here any minute.

So I drive on.....

As we stop at the gate and are asked if we are virgins, and we answer, "Yes".

They ask us to step out of the RV and then the Wife is told to roll about the dust. When done, they give her a beer and hoist her in the air and run off laughing with her.

Then the others turn to me and tell me to sit in this bucket, attached to a long arm. Funny,..it looks like a trebuchet........and the thought was completely interrupted.....

Next view is me being launched towards the Sun and a loud "WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!" being heard as I fly through the air. Somehow, I lost my shorts and all you see is a great white tush flying through the air!

The welcome crew dusts off their hands and says, "Well, our work is done.".
I would like to treat my gas pedal as a binary operator and get the cooperation of everyone in front of me!

I've dreamed a few times that I went to BM with just my ticket, my truck and the cloths on my back and nothing else.....and I was leaching off others and felt ashamed of myself.
