Virgin burner from Michigan

Post by Janowski710 » Wed May 25, 2016 4:44 pm

Heya! Going to my first burn this year. I'm going at it alone and couldn't be more excited for the journey. Would love to take friends, but they are busy with life so what can ya do. I learned a longtime ago that you never know where an adventure can take you, so never miss something because of fear or rather fear of judgment. Don't have a camp the moment, tho I may look into some. At this point I'm planning on open camping. I would love to talk to some people and meet up in person at the burn and have memories that last a lifetime. If anyone has advice on open camp locations or even camp suggestions I would love to hear them.

Ex Michigander here. Hello Janowski. What part of MI you from? Are you driving out, flying then renting something or doing the burner express? Have you talked with any local Burners or Groups?

I'm rollin' solo too. In my RMC. Rollin' Man Cave. Not exactly sure where I'm camping yet. Might be near a theme camp I'm talking with, might be with some other Veteran Burners I met here on ePlaya, or maybe completely by myself somewhere.

Welcome aboard. Lots to read here being a Birgin. Suggest you read it all like I did.
2nd time better than the first. And the first was pretty Freakin' Great!

I'm driving out, about a 38 hour drive, with naps of course. Probably could have told a little about myself in the intro. I'm from the Macomb area and was given a amazing opportunity to work for GM at the Warren tech center. I'll be 23 this July. A bit of a gear head but I am interested in almost all things as long as I have the opportunity to learn from them. Love eastern philosophy and the way it gives you a different way to look at the world. I think camping alone would be fun as long as you gain a few companions that have some experience to show you all there is to offer. I have talked with a few people from burners without borders but unfortunately lost contact. So I figured this is a good place to restart.

Welcome to ePlaya Jan. Hang out here. You have plenty of time to make friends and find a common hobby. Did you check out the car thread? All gear-heads welcome. We would love to chat and then meet you in person come Sept.

Ah, East side.... Kazoo Boy here, born & raised. Here is a link for Michigan burners. Maybe hit the Lakes of Fire event in June.

I'm a motorhead too. Look forward to chatting and meeting you on the Playa.

Appreciate the link eldergeek. I was definitely thinking about lakes on fire if I can find a ticket. Looks like a good time that's relatively local
