Fresh Water Delivered?

Hi eveyone! Long time not here!

ANYWAY, one the camp placement questionnaire this year, there was asked whether my camp would want potable water delivered this year. I have not been able to find anything else about it. Before bothering placement with the subject, I thought bothering you all would probably be more fun. Anybody know what exactly they were implying with that question? Retrofrolic is definitely down with delivered water if it is reasonably priced!

500 Gallons of water $1.00 per gallon. They stop by every other day to top of if you need it--at $1.00 a gallon.

hey there! We've been doing two or three camp outs a year now. We've brought the burn home indeed. We're up to about 100 attendees at each of our 3- day events.
It keeps me (mostly) out of trouble. I see you pass by from time to time,,,, virtually that is,,, YOU still in L.A.?

So will they deliver to our own tank? for $1 per gallon?

I would honestly recommend contacting Placement - I haven't heard details of the service, and they're the ones who could point you in the right direction.

Yeah, I don't need that much. 250 is plenty. we shower with most of the CLEAN ice melt.

And please-please-please! Don't jump out in front of the ESD fire engines (the ones that sayFIREon the sides) to ask if they are bringing fresh water for your RV. I lost count of the number of times we were flagged down last year. Besides, I don't think you would want tank water that has bouncing around on playa for two weeks in the sun and dust.

You can arrange for them to fill your own tank. I believe the cost of water is then $1.50. Call them and they will give you a quote. We've used USS for several years now and they are easy to work with.

We had a guy camp with us last year who brought 600 gallons of water as a gift to the camp. Great gift! but DAYIMM! We had double grey water issues,,,, I always say, "the more convenient the water supply, the more waste", and I was right! So I think we're going back to the garden sprayer-water fight kind of showers this year,,,,, it's much more interactive anyway!

We've used USS for several years now and they are easy to work with.

My experiences with USS is that they're basically ripoff artists and a-holes. They are also a monopoly so you're forced to deal with them.

In the questionnaire, they are asking for purposes of the "civic water program". If you have a tank, they will fill it at $1.00 per gallon, which I think is a discount from USS rates. We run a misting tent and were "approved" for the program last year. The approval email didn't come until August 4. We had already rented a tank and bought water from MECO.
