Time For Art

Post by robotland » Mon Dec 06, 2004 5:32 am

Okay, year 3 is coming up. The first year was "orientation". The second was "community and contribution year", with some cautious, small-scale artmaking and gifting. Now it's finally time to bring out a bigger art piece, and time for me to figure out how to get it 2000 miles out and back (or burnt). Who else is getting in Art Mode for this year?

Here on the eastern side of our great state I am trying to stir up interest in a statewide art project. Not sure if you're on the MI_BM email list, so don't know if you're in on it. I'm thinking that parts get assembled in various places and then brought together on the playa. Smaller projects for everyone and smaller amounts of stuff to transport. Though big shipping containers are probably most economical for a large quantity of stuff.
It's going to be alright.

Thanks, Bob! Part of the fun is coming up with something that I can pack in with me on the trip, kinda NASA-like, with everything folding up or deflating or whatever.....

Hey, Sputnik! I THOUGHT I was on the Michigan list, but either it's been Eerily Silent or I'm wrong. Sure, I'd love to play Art with you Easties!

Go to groups.yahoo.com and join MI_BM

We're having a meetup this coming Sunday to brainstorm a bit. I know it's far, but PM me if you're interested, or check the list for details. Look for Soup and Slush in the subject.
It's going to be alright.
