so i'm here for new years, first time in over a decade...what is the fun, freaky, burner happy thing to do on new years eve around this joint?

I would say to head to The Independent in SF ... maybe drop in at the Odeon earlier on the day. They are going to be putting a pirate TV station on the air :D

Check out the events in The Odeon Bar tribe http://odeonbar.tribe.net/

The Independent will have the Extra Action marching band and EENOR.

Kind of a burnery way to spend the day, I think.
