Christmas Tree Rodeo/Burn

Post by NoLastNamesPlease » Sat Jan 01, 2005 9:17 pm

Any word out there about a christmas tree burn this year? I know (or think I know) that the default rangers are a bit uptight about that kind of thing on Ocean Beach nowadays. I've got a couple of polite pyros who are looking to light up a few trees, but we're not sure where that is socially acceptable. Any ideas?

We do a Xmas tree burn here on the EC but in the summer when the trees are really dry and ready to explode. The law enforcement people do not seem to mind so long as we don't set the dunegrass on fire. I usually keep 2 or 3 trees stashed just waiting for the call.

... to save trees that long. And besides, where's the instant gratification? Anyone else have ideas for the Bay Area (SF that is)

Dang, the one time I went (Ocean Beach--meet at the Doggy Diner head) ot was a lot of fun.

Hey, I know of a place in the desert where no one goes. We could take all our trees to Nevada. . . .
