Finding Lost Campmates Before Exit

This is one of the most existential challenges a driver out can face.

Prevent, prepare, plan, backup plan for it.

First, if your lost person preparing for exit is under legal age, the BMORG has preplan and immediate plans. Use them. You have the entire BMORG backing you.

Say you bring in a burner and they said you are taking them out.

Sometimes it happens that they just connect with another group for a night, or many nights. They may offer them a ride out and they may accept. Negotiate ahead of time an agreement, maybe signed.

If this happens or they have not returned to camp without notification, you in are your pre negotiated pickle.

Mobile coverage and keeping in touch with lost campmates comes in handy. Negotiate mobile device check in in advance.

Notify the rangers of a lost person. Leave on your schedule. Connect with lost off playa.
