Seeking BM-project metalworking apprenticeship, Santa Cruz

I have some self-taught shop expeience, but I want to learn more about metal fabrication, including welding. I do not have the space for equipment to do this myself, and so I am seeking a burning man project in the Santa Cruz area (I have a car, so it doesn't have to be in the city) that could use some help with fabrication.

What I can do:
Cut, drill, sand, bondo, spray paint, assemble
wood, plastic, and metal
simple electrical design and soldering (I have an electrical project I'd like to build and take to Burning Man, http://xenotrout.com/imagery/ "Electromagnetic Flux")

What I want to learn:
welding, bending, pressing, hammering, other metal fabrication
