Tent-cot

Post by funkill » Thu Mar 16, 2017 12:59 pm

I have a few people who want to join me this year who are from out-of-state. I do not have room in the tra'la for them and don't have time to make custom yurts, et. al. I'm wondering if anyone has ever considered tent cots? I have a camping cot by Slumberjack and it is amazingly stable. Thinking some of the tent-cots might be stable enough to survive the playa - with staking of course. What do you think? Just end up with a huge pile of dust inside?

Why not just tents and sleeping pads? Seems like a lot f expense and trouble for little gain. They'd still need shade.

I was thinking this might give them some privacy, and be less costly than a couple tents, cots and pads. And they could take it home with them in a single package.

I have a 10x30 shade structure to share and plenty of outdoor seating.

Thanks for your reply!

Ha! Wasn't thinking that kind of privacy.

Guess my head isn't screwed on right.
