We are family!

Post by Dr Jam » Mon Apr 24, 2017 12:29 pm

Introductions.
Ok, so I first planned to go to BM alone @ 20 years ago, so this has been something of a mission.
Now in 2017 with hubby and 19yo son in tow, the family has flights from the U K, a camp (Starfist) and (so far) a single low income ticket for the teen.....yup, the son is definitely going to BM, but not his parents.
So seeking tickets.
In other news, I have spent my time away from BM wisely at other festivals in the UK. Today as 'Guerilla Archaeology' I take archaeology to music festivals (e.g. 6 of us off to Glasto this year), study ancient festivals , and I lead a University festival research group. See what I did there? Job/work mashup.
Anyhow, hoping to make it...somehow as a family group.
Keep on, keepin' on
Dr J.

Hey there, welcome to ePlaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hello, and thanks for the greetings. Been busy sorting out logistics for our trip - four folk (daughter is declining to attend BM) to drive up from LAX to watch the eclipse by Monday 21st Aug and then back to BM. A camping road trip as too cheap/poor to fly, and all the family has nominated a range of 'must sees'.

At BM we will at least be in in one locale for a while - though i am looking forward to going postal with ‘Go Postal’, as we have volunteered to help out.
Anyhow off now, will be registering for STEP later....Hwyl fawr
(By the way you can find out what I get up to at other festivals here...https://www.facebook.com/GuerillaArchaeology 'Making the past present at music festivals')
