Hey Burners!
IT'S ON ... We just launched our Burning Man 2017 Indiegogo fundraiser.
Our goal : Feed over 2000 hungry burners at Black Rock City.
If by any chance you have tasted our poutine at the burn or other regional (Firefly, Nectr, Hyperborea, Lakes of Fire, L'OsstidBurn), you know it's worth it.
We need your contributions for :
Cheese curds : Hell yeah, we use REAL cheese curds! Without cheese we would just have fries and sauce, and we all know how boring that would be. And it turns out that cheese curds are our biggest expense!!!
Other Ingredients : Potatoes, gravy, and oil and there's a lot propane to feed our trusty 6 fryers.
Other logistics : Eating areas, an open-mic stage, decorations, not to mention getting all this stuff to Burning Man from Montreal and renting a storage locker year-round in Reno, NV.
It cost about 5000$ to serve about 2000 poutines and this excludes our camp's expenses. Some of the financing is done through fundraising events and by us. So that means ALL the money you contribute goes toward running the poutine kitchen! The more money we get, the more poutines we have the pleasure to serve, it's that simple.
