I'm BlackHole2006 (Yeah that's right, there are 2006 of us) I'm 24 years old and I'm looking to fill a Glastonbury void in 2018. I've been going to Glastonbury 9 times and I've done 3 out of those 9 times solo. It's looking likely that I'll be doing Burning Man solo in 2018, if I can convince my folks that it'll be a good idea for me to go and "find myself"
I drink way too much, I'm massively into music and listen to a huge variety. I can go from listening to Brazilian/Latin Grooves to the Pixies. I think that pretty much covers it really. I've been reading the survival guides and watching the videos online and refraining from posting threads with obvious questions (radical self reliance and all that!) so I have an idea of what's coming for me. I DO NOT want to be a tourist. I want to throw myself right in there and get as involved as I can! Also I know it's going to be intensely hot out there. It's cool with me. Lots of people moaned and complained on the Wednesday of Glastonbury this year because it got to 30degrees plus, but I loved it, because I love scorching hot weather.
I'm really excited about the prospect of going because Burning Man is the only festival besides Glastonbury that really ignites my imagination. I'm definitely going to be trying for a low income ticket first, as I only work a part time job in retail. If not I'll have to get one in the general sale, it's no biggie
P.S: Probably worth noting that I have Dyspraxia, I try not to brandish it about like a badge, but for those curious, here's a list of symptoms: http://dyspraxiafoundation.org.uk/dyspraxia-adults/. If there's any thread on here on coping in BRC with a disability like this, then I'd be very happy to read it! As I say, I've done Glastonbury 9 times and I love events like this, because they make me feel like I'm normal.
Thanks for reading and hopefully see you all next year!!
